Tutorial T7B: Network on Chips - The Journey Overview

This tutorial aims at highlighting the NoC journey from its origins till date. We also aim at giving an insight into the different path choices faced at different times and the preferred paths taken. With the necessary insight into the past and the present of the NoCs, we will dwell on the challenges and solutions being considered around the world. We shall also talk about the direction in which we are heading and the expected road ahead. Speaker Biographies Joycee Mekie with a PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2009, Joycee Mekie is currently a member of faculty in Electrical Engineering Department at Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. Her research interests include asynchronous circuit design, low power VLSI design, analog circuits and low cost healthcare devices. She is currently the Technical Program Committee member of ASYNC 2014. Sneha N Ved with an Master of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology Madras in 2013, Sneha N Ved is currently pursuing her PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar.
